Blade Warrior is a fantasy hack-n-slash action adventure in a twilight, shadows world under siege! The game has unique graphics that look like a film animated scene! Blade Warrior was initially released for the Commodore Amiga computers and later for the PC (MS-DOS). An Atari ST version was never released, although planned.

Blade WarriorSTORY / GAMEPLAY
The prince of darkness Murk is here to rule your land. If your homeland is to see the light of day again, Murk must be killed! You must take up arms against the new ruler and his evil and deadly creatures! You have to build your own magical powers to a level that can challenge his abilities. To achieve that, You have to explore your homeland and collect a number of artifacts. Visiting the local Mazes will allow you to improve your magical powers. Be aware of the evil warriors like huge deadly spiders and more as you progress into the darkness! The deadly shadows are everywhere and thirsty for your blood!

GRAPHICS / SOUND
Blade Warriors has beautiful, shadowy and creepy graphics! The game features nicely animated characters and fast action but all presented in a really strange way! The atmosphere is misty and haunting, the sprites are light shadows with great animation and the backgrounds feature bright white lighted planes while the foreground has only some dark shadows of rocks and trees. The haunting atmosphere is completed with some chilling horror-style sampled effects, but unfortunately there is no music during gameplay rather than some ambient, repetitive creepy echoes.
